Maldives Magic – My Crown & Champa Resorts Journey
One of the biggest privileges of working in travel is being able to experience the most beautiful places, and I feel so grateful to have spent time in the Maldives visiting a collection of Crown & Champa Resorts. Every island had its own character, and together they reminded me why the Maldives is pure magic. As a travel advisor, I believe there is no substitute for first-hand experience. By personally visiting the destinations and the various resorts – I get to know the atmosphere, the service, the little touches that photos or brochures don’t show. I’ve walked the beaches, tasted the food, explored the various rooms – so when we discuss options for you – I am giving you real, honest advice matching you with a destination and resort that is just right for you.
Kuredu Island Resort
Kuredu was my first stop, a lively island with something for everyone. I loved the relaxed vibe, the food, the entertainment, and those sunsets on the sandbank. Swimming with the local turtles was one of those pinch-me moments. I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful island – being a budget friendly option – it really did tick off a lot of boxes on my list.

Komandoo Island Resort & Spa
From there we went to Komandoo, a small adults-only island that felt so peaceful and romantic. Beautiful villas, calm surroundings, and fantastic snorkeling makes it a little slice of paradise for couples. Here the repeaters statistics show that this little island is very popular and a perfect choice for that perfectly peaceful escape.

Hurawalhi Island Resort
Hurawalhi was probably my favorite on this trip. The island is stunning, the rooms gorgeous, and the house reef just off the beach was rich with sea-life. The beautiful infinity pool, the delicious food, the golden glow sunsets — everything felt extra special. Did you know? It has the worlds largest underwater restaurant – 5.8 meters below the ocean. This resort is in a league of its own and can’t recommend a visit here enough.

Jawakara Maldives
Jawakara brought a modern energy, with sleek water villas and private pools that made relaxing easy. Great dining, a kids’ club, and plenty for teens and adults too made it a resort for everyone. I loved my villa overlooking the beautiful turquoise lagoon – time seems to stand still in a setting like this.

Veligandu Island Resort
Veligandu was freshly renovated and looked beautiful, with a house reef right off the beach and a lovely dine-around option for meals. Simple, relaxed, and just the right balance of barefoot luxury. I had the best guided snorkelling experience – turtles, sharks and hundreds of fish. This little island definitly left an impression and I would love to come back to explore and experience more.

Meeru Island Resort & Spa
We ended at Meeru, a fun and social island with a big heart. The new beachfront pool villas were a highlight — especially the beautiful outdoor bathroom and private pool with stunning sea views. Complimentary bicycles (allocated to our room catagory) to use around the island were a thoughtful touch which I really enjoyed. I loved the sunset dolphin cruise experience here – it was just incredible to watch them swimming along side our boat and putting on quite a show for us.
