This charming, newly renovated adults-only resort is the perfect playground for those wanting a relaxed and authentic Mauritian experience without breaking the bank. Set on the island’s northeast coast, it overlooks a beautiful turquoise lagoon and has one of my favourite rim-flow pools on the island – an ideal spot to soak in the views with a cocktail in hand.
The resort has a genuine Mauritian feel with friendly staff, delicious local cuisine, and a warm, easy-going atmosphere. The beach may be small, but it’s perfectly proportioned for the resort and never feels too crowded. It’s a great choice for young honeymooners or solo travellers – I’ve sent both, and they’ve all loved their time here.

The adults-only wing of Victoria Beachcomber is an absolute gem. All rooms offer uninterrupted sea views, and there’s something so special about the relaxed yet stylish atmosphere here. You have your own dedicated restaurant and pool but can also enjoy the facilities of the main Victoria Beachcomber Resort, giving you the best of both worlds.
The calm lagoon and quiet beachfront make it ideal for couples, honeymooners, or even solo travellers wanting space to unwind. One of my personal highlights was staying in a swim-up room – imagine stepping straight from your bed into the pool with the ocean beyond. It doesn’t get dreamier than that. There’s a friendly, happy energy throughout, and the swim-up bar is always a favourite spot for an afternoon refresh.
