My Stay at Ayada Maldives – A True Island Paradise

One of the best parts of my job is exploring beautiful destinations so I can share them with you. My recent stay at Ayada Maldives was one of those trips that completely stole my heart, and I couldn’t wait to bring my experience back to you.

From the moment we landed at Ayada, I felt like we’d stepped into another world. This island has such a special vibe – peaceful, private, and wrapped in turquoise water and soft white sand.

What stood out straight away was the service. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely care about every little detail. They go above and beyond, whether it’s remembering your allergies, sorting out special requests, or just checking in to make sure you’re having the best time. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.

Food & Restaurants

Meals here were a highlight.

• Magu quickly became a favorite spot, delicious daily breakfasts and we enjoyed the themed dinners. Turkish night was definitely the winner for me! The chefs even came out to say hello, which made it feel so personal.
• Kai was a real treat – sushi lovers, this is your place. The food was incredible, and the setting was just beautiful.
• Zero Degree by the pool was perfect for lazy lunches. The service was honestly next-level—cold drinks and cool towels appeared before I’d even realized I wanted them.
• Ocean Breeze with the most beautiful views wrapped around you – this was a stunning setting for a delicious buffet style lunch.

And then there was the beach BBQ night – feet in the sand, live music, delicious food… honestly, the kind of evening you dream about when you think of the Maldives.

Things to Do

We tried a little bit of everything during our stay. Water sports are always fun, but kayaking in the glass-bottom kayak was definitely a highlight. The dive center is excellent – so well run and professional. We also joined the Aquarium excursion, and honestly, the corals we saw were the most beautiful we’ve ever experienced. Truly breathtaking.

The house reef is just as impressive, alive with color and marine life. I’d suggest going with a guide the first time – you’ll feel more relaxed knowing your way around, and it makes the whole experience even better.

Getting around the island by bicycle was another favorite. It kept everything quiet and calm, and it’s such a lovely way to explore.

We also joined in on some of the resort’s evening activities, which added such a fun touch to the trip. Carnival evening was a highlight – it was wonderful to interact with the Ayada team in a relaxed, festive way and share a laugh with the other guests. Another favorite was movie night, held outside by the pool. Sitting under the stars on a warm evening, watching a film island-style, felt so magical.

And of course, I can’t forget the spa. The whole space is peaceful and serene, with an incredible range of treatments. I opted for a Swedish massage, and I have to say – it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had.

Atmosphere

The island itself is just stunning. Lush tropical gardens, beautifully kept, and so many photo-worthy spots. What I loved most is how remote it feels – no other resorts in sight, just endless ocean and a few untouched islands scattered around.

Evenings had a great mix – fire shows, live music, Maldivian nights and for families, the games room with pool, table tennis, and PlayStation is a hit.

The Little Touches

Our butler, Dev,  took care of absolutely everything conveniently through WhatsApp. It couldn’t have been easier or more efficient. From restaurant bookings to daily reminders of our excursions and the resort offerings, it made the whole stay feel completely seamless.

Turndown was another highlight. Each evening we’d return to find a little bedtime snack waiting for us, a sweet touch that rounded off each perfect island day.

Poolside service was just as thoughtful. The moment we sat down, we were welcomed with a choice of ice-cold drinks, refreshing cool towels, and the kind of warm, attentive service that always came with a smile.

Even our farewell was unforgettable. The team stood together, hands on their hearts, and waved us off until we were out of sight. Such a simple gesture, but one that truly stays with you.

Ayada is one of those rare places that feels both luxurious and personal. The service, the food, the reefs, the sheer beauty of the island – it all came together to create a trip I’ll never forget.
